The Second Coming Forum > Do You Think a Second Chance In Life is Automatic? Here is One Writer's View.
The best way to begin grasping a second chance in life is to realize that you don't automatically get one. There are countless people out there who have blown their first chance at life, have failed to realize what a precious gift it is, and how much they have to appreciate, and they have gotten to a point where they are no longer able to change their ways, to make their life what they would have always had it be. Once you learn to appreciate the GIFT of a second chance, you can really put your heart into finding out what to do with it.
Why do you want a second chance? Do you want to make things right with the love of your life? Do you wish you'd gone to school for your dream job instead of the higher-paying job? Think about why it is that you feel your first round with life has left you with more than a few bruises and a desire to turn things around.
After that, it's pretty simple to know what to do. Once you know what it is that has made you unhappy, and has made you want a second life, correct that something. The tricky part is to know how to correct it, but you don't have to go through it alone. Tell somebody else why you're unhappy. Somebody who you can trust, and who you think would understand. A person who will only tell you how good your life already is, and won't accept that maybe you want a change for yourself, will not help you overly much. Rather, find somebody who will encourage you to do what you think is best for yourself, but can gently remind you of some of the better things in your life that maybe you don't want to completely change after all.
The trick to all of this, is balance. Once you find the right balance, you will find that your success in changing things for the better will happen faster than you may have thought at first.
