CELTICS COMEBACK...PROVES MIRACLES ARE INDEED POSSIBLE

In the history of the NBA, no team has ever come back from a 3 to 1 deficit but if Kobe and the Lakers are to win the 2008 version of the NBA finals they will have to do just that. The great news too is that they will know more than anyone else, painful as it is, never to say never.
I can hear the disgruntled Lakers fans saying...enough already! And based on last night's incredible Celtics comeback, I can well understand. Leading by an unprecedented 24 points in NBA finals and with Kobe and the boys breaking out "school yard" moves...Paul Pierce and the Celtics, at one time even going on a 21 to 3, run closed the gap and stunned the Staples center with a unforgettable 97 to 91 comeback victory. The highlights below tell the whole story.
In pulling of the incredible comeback, the Celtics take a 3 to 1 lead in the best of seven series and are just one win away from taking the title. It's being a storied year for Kobe and the Lakers though...Kobe's pouting and wanting out at the beginning of the season to him running away with the MVP award, the season-ending injury to Andrew Bynum and the trading coup to nab Paul Gasol from the Grizzlies. Could 2008 take another stunning turn?
We won't have to wait a long time to know. Game 5 is scheduled for Sunday and if the Lakers can just win that one...it would be a giant step in coming back from the 3 to 1 deficit and claiming the coveted NBA title and all the glory. What a story that would be?
It's a tough sell, but will Phil Jackson at the helm, the brilliance of Kobe, a great supporting cast and last but not least...playing at the very friendly Staples Center, the Lakers must think their chances are very good. The Celtics will also fancy theirs...games 6 and 7 will be on their home court. It's drama which, I am sure, has television networks and NBA organisers grinning from ear to ear!
